Our Top sedations

General Anesthesia

This renders the patient completely unconscious and unaware during the procedure.

Sedation

Intravenous sedation ensures a deeper level of relaxation. Patients often remain conscious but may have limited memory of the procedure.

Nitrous Oxide

(laughing gas)

Inhaled through a mask, it provides a mild and relaxing effect with little aftereffects.

Oral Sedation

Taken orally before the procedure, it induces a relaxed and drowsy state, keeping the patient conscious but deeply relaxed.

Local Anesthesia

Numbing a targeted area of the mouth, it allows the patient to remain awake and alert during the procedure while feeling no pain.

At OMS Group, we offer a wide range of surgical solutions for both simple and complex cases. 

Pre Sedation Instructions

  • Do not drink or eat anything for at least 8 hours prior to your appointment.
  • Do not wear makeup or nail polish and wear loose clothing with short sleeves or with sleeves that can be rolled up past the elbow.
  • Contact lenses, jewelry, and dentures should all be removed.
  • If you are sick (i.e. cold, flu, sore throat, stomach or upset bowel), please notify the office.
  • If you take routine oral medications, please notify the office prior to your surgical date for further instruction.
  • Please do not smoke at least 12 hours before surgery.
  • Please discontinue any recreational drugs for 24 hours before surgery.

Post Sedation Instructions

  • After anesthesia, you must be supervised by an adult for 24 hours.
  • You should not drive a vehicle or operate any machinery for 24 hours.
  • Discontinue smoking for at least 7 days after surgery.
